Otherwise Reynolds could have sorted my Dad out. So, picture the scene, we're riding 2 miles from our B&B to Dalwhinnie station with a 25mph tailwind on a Sustrans path. It's slightly downhill, and narrow. It's a well surfaced path, just over a metre wide, but bumping and swerving up and down to bridges over streams. It swerves up towards the main road (the A9) to cross a gully. I can ride offroad

Sometimes I stare at the grass and appreciate the beauty of nature. I like to pull bark off trees and sniff it, occasionally snorting an ant or two. The coolness of the wind gives me the shivers. I dig shallow holes with my bare hands so that "dirty" will mean more than "unclean" to my soul.

after the film i spent the day having bad ideas.

i dreamt of a university student. male, corn-fed farm boy of the kind i encountered so frequently at guelph. he walked across campus and into an old ivy covered building, across an indoor stone walkway, and attend his film lecture. the lecture hall was half full and everyone was sitting near the front. some girls were talking and laughing loudly. the professor comes in, sits in the centre of the room, to the right of the male student whose perspective i have adopted.
